Diagnostic tests are an integral part of modern health care. Just like other interventions, they should be properly evaluated before they are recommended for wider use. The quality of diagnostic tests can be referred to as “diagnostic test accuracy”. Like other interventions, diagnostic tests are investigated in studies (diagnostic accuracy studies) and likewise, these studies can be summarized in systematic reviews. This webinar provides an introduction to systematic reviews of diagnostic test accuracy and refers to the recently updated version of the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Diagnostic Test Accuracy.
